Education Gillikin earned a B.A. in moral philosophy and quantitative political science from Western Michigan University. He has been a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality since 2006. From 2014-2017, he received a gratis appointment as affiliated clinical faculty at Grand Valley State University's Padnos College of Engineering and Computing, in the Medical and Bioinformatics program.
Experience Jason Gillikin has been a part of the health care industry since 2000. In his early years, he supported clinical quality improvement initiatives for a large urban teaching hospital. He eventually led the hospital's revenue-cycle informatics team—nine high-performing analysts supporting facility registration, scheduling, coding and pre-bill management. In 2012, he spent a year establishing the team responsible for physician revenue reporting for a large multispecialty medical group. In 2013, he joined a regional health plan to oversee first its quality improvement analytics team and then its advanced analytics team responsible for exploratory (population health) analytics and business case development. In 2018, he launched Gillikin Consulting. He joined the board of directors of the National Association for Healthcare Quality in 2016 and the board of trustees of the Healthcare Quality Foundation in 2017. He is a former president-elect of the Michigan Association for Healthcare Quality.
